🔸川崎正博氏グループ展のお知らせ

「木工作家（象嵌トレイ）川﨑正博氏」の作品出展のご案内です。「木の造形展」（岡アートギャラリー＠岡山市）

木を制作の素材としている４人の展覧会です。
木材としての木は一番身近な自然素材と言えますが、その表情は千差万別です。美しい杢目や色、堅さや重さ、質感、香りなど、制作意欲をそそられるその魅力は尽きません。鋸、鑿、彫刻刀、電動糸鋸、木工旋盤、バンドソーやチェーンソーなど、様々な道具を使って木の良さを引き出す手立てや思った形の実現を模索しています。木の魅力に取り憑かれ、それぞれの方法で造形に取り組む４人の仕事をご高覧下さい。

🔹Announcement of Masahiro Kawasaki's Group Exhibition

・Mr. Masahiro Kawasaki will be holding a "Wood Sculpture Exhibition" (at Oka Art Gallery from June 24th to June 29th)with other three artist.

"This is an exhibition by four artists who use wood as their material. Wood, as lumber, is arguably the most familiar natural material, yet its appearance is incredibly diverse.
Its beautiful grain, color, hardness, weight, texture, and scent—its all-encompassing charm inspires creativity.
Using various tools such as saws, chisels, carving tools, power saws, woodturning lathes, band saws, and chainsaws, the artists explore ways to bring out the best qualities of wood and realize their desired forms.

Please enjoy the work of these four artists, each captivated by the allure of wood and pursuing their craft in their own unique way."

・This is an announcement regarding the exhibition of mushroom artwork by woodworker (inlaid trays) Masahiro Kawasaki, featured at KUON ART GALLERY. Miso-gura ART Place & NAVA Café in Fuchu City, Hiroshima Prefecture, is celebrating its 5th anniversary this month. They will be holding a 5th-anniversary event on Sunday, May 24th.

・岡山市に生まれ、長く岡山の美術界を牽引してきた青木正春(1921~2002)は、前衛画家として活躍する傍ら、自然を愛し、大山を始め多くの野山にスケッチに出かけるとともに、身近な花やキノコなどを日常的に描いていました。アトリエに残されていた数百点のキノコ図は実物大で描かれ、種類や名前、採取地や説明文が丁寧に記されており、優れた美術作品であるとともに博物資料としても貴重です。

・Masaharu Aoki (1921-2002), born in Okayama City and a long-time leader in the Okayama art world, was an avant-garde painter who loved nature and would go sketching in the fields and mountains, including Mt.Daisen and would regularly draw familiar flowers and mushrooms. The hundreds of mushroom illustrations left in his studio are life-size drawings, carefully marked with the species, name, where they were collected, and descriptions, making them both excellent works of art and valuable museum materials.
